HOW IT WORKS...
After an initial consultation with the professionally qualified Whitening Therapist, you can sit back and relax as your dreams of a whiter smile turn into reality! *Firstly preparation is the key for optimal results, we will remove as much surface staining as possible before the actual whitening gel takes to work. A plastic retractor is then gently placed in your mouth to hold your smile in position, and a protective dam is applied to the gums. |

*The whitening gel is applied to your teeth and the Laser light start button is pressed for a 10 minute cycle. *The whitening gel is then removed and reapplied a further two or three times, depending on the recommended treatment needed. *Finally, when the dam and plastic retractor is removed we will give your teeth a polish before you can rinse out your mouth and get ready to flash that dazzling smile. Results can last up to two years depending on diet, lifestyle and oral hygiene! It is advised to maintain your initial investment with professional aftercare, by either top up sessions or with products we can provide you with for use at home. |

Does Teeth Whitening really work?
Of course it does! The surface of the teeth contains millions of microscopic pores, and over the years, organic compounds from food, fizzy drinks, tea, coffee or tobacco penetrate these pores causing discoloration of the tooth enamel. Almost all natural teeth respond to the whitening process, however some peoples teeth take longer to whiten such as those with tetracycline antibiotic staining which may need further treatments to achieve a desired result.
Does Teeth Whitening damage the enamel of the teeth?
Research shows there is no risk to the enamel of the teeth.
Does whitening work on veneers, crowns, bridges and fillings?
The whitening procedure will not whiten crowns, veneers, bridges or fillings however they will be restored to their original colour.
Am I a suitable candidate for teeth whitening?
If your natural teeth were once whiter than they are now then yes you are most probably a suitable candidate.
Any dental work or problems must be seen to by your Dentist prior to any treatment. A recent scale and polish by your Dentist is also advised for optimal results.
Will it Hurt?
Most people find the procedure painless, however a small percentage may experience temporary sensitivity for 24-48 hours following treatment. If your teeth are already quite sensitive to hot and cold, we advise you to use a sensitive toothpaste a week prior to your apointment to try and minimise any sensitivity you may feel. How long will the results last?
Generally with our system your teeth will stay noticeably whiter for 18-24 months, however a top up treatment every 6-12 months will maintain that dazzling smile. Alternatively, we stock a range of Home Kits which will also work their magic. These can be bought Online or in the Clinic.
