Dermal fillers have been used effectively for many years to create a more youthful looking appearance by plumping out lines, wrinkles and folds. The products are very versatile and your areas of concern are thoroughly assesed to give you the best result and longevity possible. Dermal fillers are a Hyaluronic acid gel that is injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. Results tend to last up to 8 - 12 months. The fillers we use are temporary, we do not use any permanent fillers. What are dermal fillers made of?
There are many injectable cosmetic fillers on the market today. We use either Restylane or Juvederm, the UK's leading dermal fillers

Is it safe?
Safety is our priority, we trust only in the best dermal fillers with reputation and clinical studies backing them. The hyaluronic acid in dermal fillers is biodegradable, which means that, when the injected gel breaks down, over time it turns into water and carbon dioxide and disappears unnoticed from your body. Reassuringly Restylane has over a decade of clinical experience and over 10 million treatments worldwide. The unique form of hyaluronic acid used in Restylane known as NASHA™ (Stabilized Non-Animal Hyaluronic Acid) has resulted in a very high safety profile, with only 1 in 20,000 adverse events recorded. What is Hyaluronic acid?
A large percentage of our skin (approximately 56%) is made up from Hyaluronic Acid (HA), a highly absorbent
substance that hydrates and creates volume. As we age, our levels of HA decrease, causing fine lines, wrinkles and
dehydrated skin. A HA gel that is injected directly into the skin to boost its appearance. There are a range of products available to suit every treatment need and subtly minimise creases and revive the complexion

What will happen during treatment?
Your Practitioner will determine the areas and extent of treatment by discussing your objectives and then use the most appropriate product to achieve an aesthetically pleasing result. Areas that can be treated include wrinkle correction and lip enhancements, correcting thin superficial lines, around the mouth, correcting deep folds, and for volume augmentation of the lips. Your Practitioner will administer several tiny injections in the areas to be treated.

How long does the treatment take?
The treatment can usually be done in about 15-30 minutes following assessment and no recovery time is needed. The only visible signs that you’ve had anything done are some potential redness or minor bruising around the injection points.

How quickly will I see the results?
The result is instantaneous and produces a long-lasting, natural enhancement, gentle and safe to your skin.

How long will it last?
Dermal fillers are long lasting but not permanent. The procedure can be repeated as often as you like. Most patients choose to have a follow-up treatment 6-12 months after an initial treatment of wrinkles.

Does it hurt a lot?
There is a degree of discomfort and your Practitioner will advice a topical anaesthetic cream.

Is there any reason I shouldn’t have treatment?
During your consultation, a medical history will be taken to assess any risks that would preclude treatment. We recommend you review the aftercare instructions to be aware of the do’s and don’ts post treatment.

What are the side effects?
Immediately after treatment, there may be slight redness, swelling, tenderness and an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal result of the injection. The inconvenience is temporary and generally disappears in a few days. This means that the result directly after the treatment should not be seen as the final result.

Will I look unnatural after treatment?
We strive for a natural looking result, with subtle improvements. Friends may comment that you look more relaxed, but treatment will not radically alter your appearance; it will simply reduce lines and wrinkles and folds.
