A Shocking case of a mother injecting her 8 year old daughter with Botox

We have been absolutely disturbed to read about a little eight year old girl called Britney Campbell whose mother has been injecting her with Botox. Claiming she has the best interests of her daughter at heart when it comes to becoming famous and succeeding in Amercian Beauty Pageants. Kerry, her mother told reporters: “It’s never too early for Botox.” We are sure many will agree this is appalling behaviour from a mother, some may say "borders on child abuse"

Important information for current and future patients regarding IHAS Cosmetic Register

You may have heard the debate about the lauch of a Quality Assurance Mark for Cosmetic Providers by the Independent Health Advisory Service. Or even heard it being advertised in the media as "A Government supported scheme to clamp down on Botox Cowboys" Although we have actively sought for a reformed regulation mechanism we have given this due consideration and we will not be entering the voluntary scheme as we feel it will not provide the answer. The register will not stop poor practice but is rather a marketing ploy with a huge PR budget.

"Aesthetic Industry angry at Ugly Face of Beauty's Coverage of Dermal Fillers" By Lorna Jackson of the Consulting Room

The final episode aired last month of the Channel 4 series The Ugly Face of Beauty, presented by TV Doctor Christian Jessen saw them take a look at the unregulated world of dermal fillers.

Specifically the show focused on the dangers posed by permanent filler products but failed to adequately explain the difference between permanent and temporary products available in UK medical aesthetic clinics in terms of the types of substances used and the way that the body interacts with them, and may or may not metabolise the materials over time.
